On 4-8 November 2019, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia will hold its 3rd International Symposium. Reflecting on its previous successful events in Surakarta on 2017 and Yogyakarta on 2018, the Court aims to provide an annual academic forum to discuss various constitutional issues. Selected articles from the Symposium (based on peer review decision) will be on the special issue of the Court's academic publication, Constitutional Review (CONSREV) Journal, published by the Center for Research and Case Analysis and Library Management, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia.
The establishment of the Constitutional Court aims to protect the citizen’s constitutional rights and human rights. What haven’t been a lot discussed is the rights of economic and social protection, meanwhile people get used to correlated the roles of Constitutional Court in protecting political rights. Plenty of Constitutional Court decision have been made in order to protect citizens’ human rights especially in providing social and economic rights for citizens.
